We have seen runaway brides in movies before, be it Julia Roberts from the movie "Runaway Bride" or the sneaker-wearing fraud Dolly (Sonam Kapoor) clad in wedding finery looting her groom and family in "Dolly Ki Doli." Another movie on the same or similar lines, "Happy Bhag Jayegi," is releasing Aug. 19, but this one has a major trans-border comedy twist.
The trailer launch of the movie happened on the sets of the popular Indian comedy show "The Kapil Sharma Show," with the cast and crew in full presence, including main male lead, Abhay Deol, who has not been seen on the big screen since "One by Two" in 2014. Diana Penty, who was appreciated for her role in the 2012 movie "Cocktail," is making a comeback with the film.

Also seen playing major roles in the film are Jimmy Shergill, Ali Fazal, Momal Sheikh and Piyush Mishra.
The movie is packed with jokes, featuring a loud-mouthed Punjabi bride who runs away from her own wedding with the help of a boyfriend and somehow ends up on the other side of the border in Pakistan. Now what unfolds in nothing short of a laugh riot.
Punctuated with vibrant hues, cultural glimpses of both India and Pakistan, and lots of colorful language, the trailer shows glimpses of a much-married, suave and successful Deol with an overbearing wife (Pakistani actress Momal Sheikh).
Deol shared the trailer on his social media pages.
